Terms and Conditions

By making a booking you are agreeing to our T&C’s so please read carefully and get in touch if you have any questions.

General

  • Please arrive on time, if you are late you will loose some of your session and still finish at the booking end time
  • Please do not arrive early, and if you do you may be asked to go back and wait in your car, or wait outside to ensure that the previous booking is not disturbed.
  • Magic ponies staff have permission to end a session at any time if customers are not following instructions for safety of staff, ponies and children.
  • All riders must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No children are to be left alone in the Magic Ponies barn.
  • Safety instructions are posted around the barn and verbal communication is made at the beginning of each session.
  • All riders must wear a safety helmet at all times whilst mounted. Whilst we provide the highest quality UVEX helmets for all riders, if you decide to bring your own helmet this is completely your responsibility.
  • NO DOGS please.
  • Please try to bring young children in a carrier rather than a pram. A lot of the paths are muddy and we cannot take responsibility for any damage/disruption to your pony experience if you bring a pram.
  • Please dress appropriately for the weather and ensure riders and adults have appropriate footwear.
  • All customers must follow instructions and directions to Magic Ponies barn. Do not feed/stroke any horses without permission. Do not wonder around the stables and be aware of residents and liveries at the equestrian centre.
  • Please be aware that you are visiting a working farm. Whilst we try to maintain safety to the highest standards… you are responsible for being aware of your surroundings as there may be horses loose, uneven ground, electric fencing and machinery around.
  • Whilst the ponies are very well behaved, they are still live animals and freak accidents can occur.

1-1 pony experiences, Group pony experiences, Seasonal events

  • 48 hours cancellation notice is required otherwise booking will still be charged
  • No refunds will be made on pony experiences. If canceled with more than 48 hours the booking may be rescheduled to another date.
  • Bookings are to be made on Magic Ponies website only and bookings open up 1 month in advance

Memberships

  • Management reserves the right to cancel a membership at any time
  • Cancellation period on memberships is 1 month from the next billing date and must be made in writing (email) to lara@magicponies.co.uk
  • Members are able to book 1 pony experience per week. If a week is missed, it cannot be carried over to the next week and no ‘back to back’ bookings will be allowed.
  • Over the summer months, there are a few weekends where pony experiences cannot take place due to cross country events at the stables. These will be replaced for members only to have an exclusive experience and will count as a session for that week. Full availability can be seen on our diary.
  • Members bookings come first come first served and will be available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Pony Parties

  • A 50% deposit must be made to secure any pony party in the diary
  • Parties cannot be moved except for exceptional circumstances and at discretion of Lara
  • You are responsible for informing magic ponies of your garden size, side access and suitable parking area.
  • Magic Ponies have the right to stop the party at any time if they believe that the safety of staff, ponies and children is compromised
  • Whilst the ponies are very well behaved, we may ask for footballs, bouncy castle etc to stop whilst we are there.
  • Balance of the party must be paid in full within 48 hours of us attending.

Events, fetes and therapy visits

    • All bookings must be paid up front within 7 days to secure the space in the diary
    • No refunds can be made, if event is cancelled with advance notice, the payment can be carried over to the next event.
    • If the event is cancelled within 48 hours no refund will be made.
    • Magic Ponies cannot be held responsible for mud/slight damage to grass area etc and where we visit care homes indoors this is entirely your responsibility.
    • Magic Ponies have the right to stop the party at any time if they believe that the safety of staff, ponies and children is compromised
    • Whilst the ponies are very well behaved, we may ask for footballs, bouncy castle etc to stop whilst we are there
    • You are responsible for informing magic ponies of your garden size, side access and suitable parking area

  • Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)
  • Payment history data from online bookings
  • Billing information and address

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Contactable details
  • Names of customers and children
  • Billing information for invoicing and processing payments

How we use your personal information

  • Magic Ponies will store your data in a secure system which can only be accessed by Magic Ponies staff
  • We will use your contact details to get in touch with you regarding your booking or other events which may be of interest.
