Frequently asked questions

What age range can the children ride on the ponies? We are geared up for the little riders! We take children from 2 years old to 9 years old on the ponies depending on their height and weight.

How do i book a party or event? Please fill in our booking form and Lara will be in touch within 3 working days to book you in!

How can we come and visit the ponies? The ponies will be out and about at lots of events open to the public where you can visit the ponies. Follow us on instagram and Facebook (@surreymagicponies) to find out more information and never to miss an event!

How much space do i need for a pony party? We don’t expect everyone to have acres of land for their pony party! As long as there is enough room for 2 ponies to do a ‘loop around’ or a walk up and down for the riders and it’s a safe distance away from anything like bouncy castles etc. On our booking form, you can send Lara a photo of your garden to check and Magic Ponies will always do a risk assessment on arrival and advise if the area provided isn’t suitable and discuss an alternative option.

Can we come to visit the ponies at your base? From November 2024 we made some business changes to solely focus on our mobile events only. Whilst our stables is closed to the public, there are many places you can still come to visit the ponies! Check out our home page to find out where the ponies are!

Are you open all year round? Yes! The ponies are available to book all year round unless the ponies are having a holiday (usually in our off season around January-Feb half term)

Do you still opperate if the weather is bad? Yes! Ponies still need to be exercised and looked after in all weather conditions. Do not let the winter weather put off a pony party, we have had wash out parties in June! Please wear appropriate clothing when visiting the ponies. In the case of extreme weather where it would be dangerous to go ahead, Lara will contact you to advise.

Do you host pony parties at your base? We offer pony parties in your garden or hired venue. Whilst we don’t offer pony parties at our base, if you don’t have a suitable venue please get in touch as we have lots of local venues which we have been to with the ponies and can reccomend!

Can I call you to discuss my requirements? Please fill in a booking request form with your requirements. Lara will be in touch to discuss further. As much as we appriciate every enquiry, unfortunately Lara made the decision to not take incoming calls due to the high volume. It was extremely hard to take calls every day of the week when she does the majority of the bookings and looking after the ponies by herself!

Can you donate a voucher for a school fete? We have donated many gift vouchers to schools and charities during the last 5 years! However, since our business changes in 2024 and the uniqueness of our new services, we are unfortunately no longer offering vouchers for our services.

Do you accept cash and card payments? Yes! We accept both cash and card payments. We use iZettle for our card payments/payment links which accepts most cards including AMEX.

What do the children need to wear to ride a pony? We always advise sensible footwear to ride the ponies. But as long as the children are comfortable and dressed for the weather, they can wear whatever they like!
